Curious Kitty

I found this picture of my cat Shyna in my library and I was pretty unhappy with the colors. You maybe know this, you want to take a picture inside and you don’t have a flash unit yet, and you take the photo anyway but the image gets this orange or red tone of the artificial light in your living room. Sometimes it can be ok, but most of the time I don’t like that. I said that often on my blog, I am not exactly someone who likes to delete photos impulsively, because I often wonder if there is … Continue reading Curious Kitty

Taking A Picture of Someone Taking A Picture

Sometimes I walk around with my mother too. She is not hiking the miles I usually do, but she likes to walk through the nature too. But sometimes we just walk through the local parks to have a chat. This is what happened in the picture above. My mother likes to take pictures with her phone, like in the image above where she wanted to take a picture of a swan in a local pond. I thought it would be funny to take a picture of someone taking a picture (laugh). As you can see, we could get pretty close … Continue reading Taking A Picture of Someone Taking A Picture

Brenner Moor

I shot the picture above in Bad Oldesloe, a town between Lübeck and Hamburg. I took the photo in an area called “Brenner Moor”. By the way, “Moor” means “swamp” in English. The area is a nature reserve and as the name implies, it’s a swampy area, a salt marsh to be more exact. In this case that means salt that comes from 500 meters below is reaching the surface. In some spots there is a salinity equally high as the salinity in the North Sea. This means the area attracted plants that would otherwise only grow in coastal areas. … Continue reading Brenner Moor

Lonely Crow

A photo of a lonely crow on a field. While the photo is not extremely special, I do however like minimalist photos with not too much things going on in the image. I shot the photo during a hike through a small forest, and outside of the forest was the field you see in the picture. I saw that crow and decided to take a photo at 300mm, which is why it somehow looks compressed. But as said, I like that. I hope you too. There are more photos of birds on my blog. Wooden Path

Above is a photo that I shot some time ago in Reinfeld. It can be a bit swampy around the Herrenteich. That’s why they did build a wooden path there. There are also boards with information’s about the swamp and that it’s a habitat for certain animals and insects. So, I do think the wooden path is not just there to protect people, but also to protect the habitat. Talking about people, I do believe it’s a lot more dangerous here in Lübeck if the Schellbruch area is swampy and flooded. Continue reading Wooden Path
