A Fly


I was walking through the garden areas and saw a fly on a greenish wooden beam. While people say the Nikon 40mm macro lens isn’t perfect for insect photography, I often try to attempt things anyway. And yes, it’s difficult because you need to come close to have a nice picture, and you know insects are shy. Tomato Onion Salad


We had a barbecue today in the garden. And as always, my mother prepared a salad as a dessert. This time it was tomato and onion salad. Super fresh and delicious! And since I like to take photos of fresh salads, I shot one this time again. I saw this nice park bench and thought it would be a great background. Chain


Today I visited my mother and her husband in the garden. And of course, I had my 40mm lens with me. I saw this chain on a workbench and since I like metal things, I took a photo. I really love this lens a lot, because it makes me shoot very different photos compared to what I’ve done previously. I can now take close-up photos of things again, that was something I liked to do with my point-and-shoot camere back then, or with my phones where minimum focus distance has not been a huge issue.
