Satya Nadella is the new CEO of Microsoft and follows the footsteps of Steve Ballmer who was the CEO before. Microsoft did set up a profile page for Satya Nadella here. Here is a quote from the profile page:

He joined Microsoft 22 years ago because he saw how clearly Microsoft empowers people to do magical things and ultimately make the world a better place. Many companies, he says, “aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources and perseverance. Microsoft has proven that it has all three in abundance.”

Bill Gates who will remain a member of Microsoft said “, there is no better person to lead Microsoft than Satya Nadella,” and “Satya is a proven leader with hard-core engineering skills, business vision and the ability to bring people together.”. Satya Nadella said in an interview “Microsoft is one of those rare companies to have truly revolutionized the world through technology, and I couldn’t be more honored to have been chosen to lead the company.”.

That promises much, so let´s see which direction he will lead Microsoft to. I think there were some wrong decisions when Steve Ballmer was still the CEO of Microsoft.
