White Duck


Here is a photo of a white duck. I saw it in a local pond and I’ve read that white ducks aren’t common outside. So, it is most likely a breed of domestic duck, probably escaped. The photo was shot at 1/1600 sec, which was fast enough to get the wing flap in the photo. This is a photo where I didn’t feel the need to edit, except that I increased sharpness because I shot RAW. Too Old For This


Last weekend I was invited to a party and barbecue. Some old friends or acquaintances planned this a month ago and asked if I would like to come too. I don’t hang around with them often, because I have other friends. But some of them wanted to go there too because of holidays, boredom and seeing old faces again. It took a while until I was persuaded because the host is known to make no jokes when it’s about doing a party, which means purchasing too many alcoholic beverages. Bridge and Rails


Just a snapshot I took near our train station. I like shapes of different bridges. Generally, the picture was a bit boring, but in black and white it really looked great. I don’t know, especially urban photos can look really grungy in black and white, especially when there are smearings on buildings or walls. I think these pictures start to shine when you convert them to black and white. But maybe it’s just my taste. I really like it that. But I do generally like black and white photography.
