Black And White Cat

Above is a photo of my cat Shyna again. The original image had a couple of issues, and I disliked the colors in the photo. That’s when I often try out black and white filters. In this case it’s a mix of black and white, and a tiny bit of serpia. She does look a bit grumpy in the photo, does she? I can’t remember, but maybe she was tired or I shot so many photos that she found it annoying (laugh). Continue reading Black And White Cat

Yellow Butterfly

I found the butterfly in the picture above a few days ago on the way during my hike. This is pretty much a pseudo-macro-shot because I used my Tamron 70-300mm lens to get the photo. Also I cropped the image a bit to get even closer. I find the yellow butterfly very beautiful, but there have been more than one, because the blossoms seemed to attract many of them. That’s always a great nature spectacle. I like to watch these small creatures. Here are more photos of insects. Continue reading Yellow Butterfly

Beautiful Field

I took the shot above because I somehow liked the scene. I liked the slope of the field and the tree behind it. And how the electricity grid has its path behind the tree. Since the clouds are so low, it almost looks like I am on a hill, but in reality it’s just Northern German flatland. It seems there is also a deer stand. I do assume that a hunter is shooting deer in the morning at this place. I hope you like the photo too! Continue reading Beautiful Field

A Frog Photo

Above is a photo of a frog that I shot when I visited my mother in their garden. They have a small pond, and sometimes I find frogs along the edge. It’s a bit difficult to photograph them because her husband did put a protection net over the pond. I mean, it’s not impossible to shoot through a net, but fortunately there are some holes that make it possible to get clear shots without net patterns. I like the photo that I could take of the frog. Hiking And Beautiful Landscape

Today it was so hot, it was maddening in my living room. My whole apartment warmed so up that it was actually a better option to go outside, even if it was hot outside too, but at least I could breathe there. I thought I go hiking along the Trave Channel but that can be beautiful too. I hiked about 14 miles and apart from enjoying the fresh air of the water, I saw beautiful scenery on my way. I shot the picture above because I liked the small stream, the elevation with the shrubs on the left and the … Continue reading Hiking And Beautiful Landscape
