Beautiful Herring Gull

In Lübeck close to the Trave River, I usually find lots of Herring Gulls. While I prefer to find less common birds, it’s not always possible, especially not in the city or in the districts here. However, I know some places here where I can find other birds, like the Schellbruch for example, but I can not always be there. It doesn’t matter a lot to me, because I like common photo subjects as well, and this included gulls, ducks, or blackbirds. Check out my other bird photos if you like to see different ones. Common Blackbird Close-Up

You can find Common Blackbirds everywhere in the city, but the photo in this post was taken in the nature. I came fairly close with my 70-300mm Tamron lens, but I cropped the image slightly to get even closer. The black feathering of these birds might be boring, but still they are very funny and cute birds, and also beautiful. Looks like my Common Blackbird category on the blog is starting to grow. Black And White Cat Photo

Here is yet again a photo of my cat Shyna. The photo was taken when I still was in Reinfeld, we shot the photo on the terrace as I had her on a leash. I edited the photo with Lightroom, I wanted to crop it a bit, I made changed to the tone curve and converted the image to black and white as I was not happy with the overblown highlights. My cat is always photogenic, it’s no rocket science to take pictures of her, because she will like all cats just look good. Continue reading Black And White Cat Photo

Our Garden Chicken

As I mentioned often, my mother and her husband have chickens in the garden and they are quite funny and good suppliers of bio eggs. I thought I upload a photo again of one of the chickens. I have way too many photos of them, and I really need to upload them over time too. Believe it or not, I think chickens are cute too, I like them so much because they follow me everywhere when I visit the garden. They are very trusting and social. Black Cat

At the moment we have just rainy days most of the time, but last week we had some good days. I was hiking last week when I noticed this black cat on the other side of the street, and I shot a photo. I mainly have photos of my cat Shyna in my cat photo category on this blog, and I am always happy if I can take photos of other cats at times. Weekly Photo Challenge: Opposites

I thought I participate in the recent WordPress Photo Challenge with the motto Opposites, because my photo of Emmi and Charlie should fit.
