Microsoft and Yahoo did it lately and it seems that Google will do it now too. Creating a new logo! There is at least a hint in the latest APK of the Android beta version of Google Chrome. And you can find the new logo on the Google Server now too. It seems that Google will have soon a flatter logo than before. The current logo style would be called bevel effect in Photoshop and it could be done with the bevel blending options for text.
