Squirrels, Masters of Balance

Squirrel Undercover

Taking a photo of a squirrel, that was something I always wanted to do. They are like undercover agents, they operate in the hidden and do only come out to show you that they also could get a job in a circus. Jumping from tree to tree, climbing all verticals, crazy little acrobats. Running through the undergrowth taking all obstacles. They are not only little champions, they are also cute. Blossom On A Tree Trunk

Just a photo I shot in the garden this evening. Saw the blossom on one of the tree trunks and thought it would be cool for a photo. At home I noticed that the image was pretty noisy, but I could fix that at least a little bit with Lightroom. But with the noise reduction the image gets a little bit blurry. Beautiful Daisy

As I mentioned in my recent post, it’s in quite a lot of cases impossible to get close-up shots of flowers with the Nikon 18-105mm kit lens, but that depends of course of the flower size. Walking near the Trave River, I found a daisy that was big enough so that I could focus well and got the shot you can see here in my post. I walked near the Trave River today to see if I find anything interesting, to see if I can take more photos. I took quite a lot of photos but I am not happy with all of them. Talking about flowers now, I noticed that my kit lens really doesn’t do a great job for flower close-up shots, it’s simply not a macro lens. If I zoom in too much, it’ll be very hard and often even impossible to get the flower in focus.
