Common Blackbird Close-Up

You can find Common Blackbirds everywhere in the city, but the photo in this post was taken in the nature. I came fairly close with my 70-300mm Tamron lens, but I cropped the image slightly to get even closer. The black feathering of these birds might be boring, but still they are very funny and cute birds, and also beautiful. Looks like my Common Blackbird category on the blog is starting to grow. Beautiful Duck

Here is a photo that I shot in Bad Oldesloe, they have ponds and rivers too there, and nature reserves. Since you can find ducks almost everywhere, they are not really special photo subjects, but they are still very beautiful. Especially this particular duck is beautiful, the plumage reminds me of tiger or leopard fur, because of the patterns and colours. What I mentioned often too, I like that ducks are slow, you can practice photography, for example experimenting with the manual modes of your camera, and this will build up experience I think. Forest Flowers

At the time I’ve been in Reinfeld, I really enjoyed it to hike through the small forests in that area. I did this regularly when I had free time, and it always helped me to gain new energy. Common Blackbird Photo

Even if I uploaded already several common blackbird photos, I don’t stop to take photos of them. They are indeed common, you find them everywhere in Germany, and that means they might be boring for some, but still they are good birds to practice photography. I like the photo in this post as you can see that the bird is walking down the tree branch, I like it if you see this type of movement in a photo, because it makes the photo look lively. Schellbruch Undergrowth

Here is one photo that I shot last year when I hiked through the Schellbruch. The photo is not very special, but I liked the vegetation or the undergrowth there. You can find some parts of the area there where the vegetation doesn’t look typical German, that makes it interesting. Weekly Photo Challenge: Pure

The recent WordPress photo challenge has the motto “Pure“. I thought I do upload a pure nature shot that I took some time ago in Reinfeld.
