Hidden Cat

Here is a photo that I shot in July. One of the reasons I like to walk through the garden areas in our districts is that you often can find cats. Many of the garden renters have cats and they roam around freely since there are usually no streets close. So, when it comes to photography and taking photos of cats other than my own cat, the garden areas are always the best places to start with. My Tamron 300mm always helps with that, because that’s enough range to get pretty close even if they are hidden 20 meters away … Continue reading Hidden Cat

Comfortable Living

Above is a snapshot of my cat Shyna that I took yesterday with my Samsung Galaxy tablet. We both were relaxing on the couch and I watched YouTube videos on my TV while Shyna was slowly falling asleep. Here is a question for those with cats. Have you noticed this too? Does the purring sound make you very relaxed and sometimes very tired too? If I listen long enough to the purring of Shyna, I fall asleep too. I believe there is something about this frequency that makes me very tired. Have you noticed the same too? Continue reading Comfortable Living

Beauty

Here is an old photo I shot with a smartphone or maybe with my older point and shoot camera. I browsed through my older library and wanted to upload the photo. I think I shot a whole set of photos that day back then, which means it might be that I showed already similar photos on my blog once. Everyone knows it, but if you are new to my blog, this is my beautiful cat Shyna. Today I’ve been a bit depressed, but when you come home and you see your cat, you’re getting into a happy mood again. Farmer’s Cat

Above is a photo that I shot long before I owned a DSLR camera. It was either shot with a phone camera or with a point-and-shoot camera. We noticed this cat on a farm somewhere near Ratzeburg. The cats of farmers do probably look well fed because they can roam around freely, hunting mice and rats. I am not sure if this is true, but I’ve often heard that they have cats for that exact reason, they don’t want to have mice and rats on their farm. Maybe it’s true, I don’t know. Dreamy

Today I saw my cat on the white blanket of my couch, and I thought she would look very dreamy and relaxed. When you don’t have your camera near you, you’re afraid that you could miss the shot but thankfully she was still in that position when I got my camera from the other room. I didn’t edit the image a lot, it’s a nice portrait in my opinion. I just changed the crop a bit and then I added a bit of clarity. I hope you liked the photo too. You can find more photos of cats on my … Continue reading Dreamy
