World of Warcraft: Blizzard Is Sending First Warlords of Draenor Beta Invites Out
The alpha of Warlords of Draenor is just closed and now some players do receive already beta invite emails. No, this is no joke as you can see here on a screenshot. First, only chosen players will get a beta invite and it´s not sure how Blizzard will expand the invites. Here is what chosen players will read when they open the beta invite email:
Congratulations, you’ve been selected to participate in the beta test of World of Warcraft®: Warlords of Draenor™!
You can download the client now! Be ready to log in to the game from Friday, June 27, at 2:00 PM PDT, when new content will be available to play.
As a beta test participant, you’ll experience the new content and features of Warlords of Draenor before the expansion is released. Over the course of testing, you’ll venture through the Dark Portal, establish your Garrison, and fight back against the Iron Horde!
While you prepare to embark on your journey, keep in mind that Warlords of Draenor is still in development, and additional content and features will be made available throughout the beta testing process. For an overview of what’s currently available in this phase of beta testing, head to our beta forums.
Feel free to share screenshots and video of your adventures and to discuss your experiences publicly. And remember, your feedback will directly impact the quality of the final game —our developers are standing by!
So, as you can see, people who got the email will now be able to download the beta client immediately. The last sentence also states that there is now NDA which means you can share screenshots and videos you take in-game but the same rule applied already for the Warlords of Draenor alpha. While many other developers would forbid to share content too early, Blizzard seems to allow it maybe because it is a good way of marketing for the new expansion, isn´t it?
Now remember. the time of Blizzard´s beta invites was often used by scammers in the past to fool people. It´s true, the beta for Warlords of Draenor is starting but if you got the email, be sure to check out if the email is really from Blizzard. The sender should be “email@example.com” and then it is no scam. Always remember this.
