I mentioned it some days ago, I asked a local store to order me the Manfrotto 055XPRO3 tripod. Today I got the email that the order arrived and I picked the tripod up.

Arrived at home I couldn’t await to unbox the tripod and Shyna was very curious too, as always if I unbox something new. The tripod was a little bit tricky to understand due to all the features, but after a while I got how this and that works.

My first impression is that this thing is pretty steadfast. It was a little bit of a pain to pay that much for a tripod but I think it will be worth the investment. Now I am waiting for the ball head so that I can test the tripod with my camera, because I ordered the head online and it should arrive the next days.

My savings are now pretty much depleted and I will now start from zero. I think I can do some minor upgrades with spare money over the next months, a bag for the tripod is on my list and some minor things for the camera. But the biggest challenge will be to save for a macro lens and tele lens depending on what I want first.

I will now take it easy, this month is the birthday of my mother and I want to find a good gift, that is priority. Then I will now slow down a bit with saving for the hobbies because I met my own deadlines with everything and that makes me happy. I wait some time before I start with the next big challenge.
