Common Blackbird Picture

I did already upload several common blackbird photos to my blog, but here is another one. I really didn’t like the highlights in the background, which is why I partly reduced vibrance and highlights. I did also decrease saturation of the blue colour to make the heaven highlights in the background even less apparent. Then I used the adjustment brush to reduce the contrast, exposure and saturation on the tree branch to shift the focus away from it. Black And White Kitty Photo

Just throwing in another photo of my cat Shyna. Found this one in my Lightroom library, and I really like the unusual perspective. But I didn’t like the photo in colour and changed it to black and white. Of course, that always fits with a black and white cat as the subject. But to be honest, cats are always beautiful, and you can’t do anything wrong when you want to take pictures of them. I hope you like this photo, check out my other cat photos and stories. Above you can see a photo that I have chosen for the recent WordPress Photo Challenge. I took the photo during my hike through the Schellbruch, because there is a small and beautiful village where people have their own gardens and their own pier. Mascot of the Blog

It’s time to share a photo of my cat Shyna again. She is basically the mascot of the blog, and I shot thousands of photos with her. At this time there are 140 posts about her on my blog. Here is a photo of my uncles dog, she is called Emmi. I am not completely happy with the photo, but it’s also not a photo I would delete. I like the close-up shot, but I am unhappy that I did not frame it well, I’d prefer it if I would have shot it so that you can see a little bit more of the neck. The background is a bit distracting in one area, especially the bright area beside her right ear. Eurasian Magpie

Here is a photo that I shot during my time in Reinfeld. You can see an Eurasian magpie (Pica pica), also known as common magpie according to Wikipedia. I shot the bird through the window glass, as I was standing in the living room. We tricked the bird a little bit, because my uncle and me were aware of the magpie nests on the other street side, and we had this glorious idea to throw some pieces of toast bread on the car port roof.
