Weekly Photo Challenge: Edge

Above you can see a photo that I have chosen for the recent WordPress Photo Challenge. I took the photo during my hike through the Schellbruch, because there is a small and beautiful village where people have their own gardens and their own pier. Imagine you have your own pier at the end of your garden, and your own boat, that’s pretty cool! Talking about the photo, I am not sure if it was a good idea to focus on the background, maybe I should have focused on the pier, but I just recently discovered a better way to focus and to recompose afterwards. I still have lots of photos where I did some things wrong, but that’s photography, you learn new things over time. I just recently discovered back button focusing, and I wish I would have known it before, because I could have tried another focus and composition with the photo in this post. I will however try this new technique out with my future photos.

    1. When I go hike there, I always wish I would be owner of one of the lots there, but I bet the land and house is very expsensive there. It’s very beautiful.

  1. I just love this photo. It makes me homesick for a place my friends and I used to go on a ferry when we were in high school.I can smell the dankness of the water, remember how cool it was when we jumped in, hear the laughter, “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog” on the radio…Wow! Thanks for this post! Wish I could share it with the old gang! The Bomb! 🙂

    1. I am always glad if people like my photos, but it makes me even more happy when some of my photos can awake good memories… I bet you had a fun time, your comment was vivid and I could image everything 🙂
