The recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about ambience, and I thought one of the photos that I shot during a hike through the Schellbruch area in Lübeck would fit. I shot the photo during golden hour time and everything appeared orange and red. But to be honest, I even boosted this a bit further with Lightroom and Color Efex Pro 4. Here is a photo of a house sparrow that I shot during a hike in Bad Schwartau, a town that is smaller and more rural. I found a lot of sparrows on my way, there are much more in rural areas. I did already take several pictures of sparrows in the past, but this time I am actually not that sure if the bird in the picture is a female or male sparrow. Here is a photo of a robin and it always looks like a backlit photograph. The bird and tree branches became so dark because my ISO was set too low for the cloudy day, but in this case I do really love the result, because as said, it looks like a backlight photograph. I expected it would be a robin bird, but to me sure I raised the shadow details for a moment and saw “Yep, it’s a robin” and decreased it again as I wanted to preserve the backlight effect. Looking for something beautiful in my apartment, I saw my windows and all the raindrops on it. The weather is not good outside, but at least it makes the windows become visually appealing. By the way, do you like the sound of raindrops on the windows too? I always like to listen to the raindrops on the windows. It can be pretty cozy if you are inside but it’s raining outside. Here is a photo of my cat Shyna again. She is quite bored this weeks since I can not play a lot with her due to my strain. But I tried to follow her and shot a photo in the floor, you really see her boredom. The boredom makes her unhappy, and at the moment she is grumpy and up for nonsense. I got Iboprofen for the pain, and the friendly hint that it will go away in eight weeks and if I am lucky even earlier.
