Black And White Landscape Photo

I wanted to share this photo even if it’s just a black and white landscape photo. However, liked it how the image composition turned out when I played with the cropping tool in Lightroom. It’s not a very special image, it’s just the composition that I like with the tree on the left side. Also the image shows the very typical North German landscape. Everything is flat here, and except for small bushes, rivers, the sea and small forests, we do have many fields in Schleswig Holstein. Continue reading Black And White Landscape Photo

Mascot of the Blog

It’s time to share a photo of my cat Shyna again. She is basically the mascot of the blog, and I shot thousands of photos with her. At this time there are 140 posts about her on my blog. I expected more to be honest, but maybe I didn’t tag all the posts with her name when I started this blog in 2011, and this would mean there are much more. Talking about the photo, I liked her pose, but I disliked the warm colours as the photo was shot in the evening with bad lighting. I almost deleted the … Continue reading Mascot of the Blog

Black And White Dog Photo

I still have so many dog photos that I never uploaded, but I need to work on this too. In this post I have a black and white photos of a black dog, I have chosen to change the image to black and white as the image was extremely overexposed, and in this case black and white is often the last chance to make it look good. In fact, it’s often very surprising how you can fix overexposed images when you convert them to black and white. Apart from that, black and white looks good anyway. Weekly Photo Challenge: Curve

The recent WordPress Photo Challenge has the motto curve. Recently we had a lot of rainy days and that means I didn’t take a lot of new photos, but since I have a huge backlog of non-uploaded photos, I can still contribute to the challenge. The photo in this post was shot when I visited Bad Oldesloe, they have a lot of curved footbridges so that the Trave River can be crossed. By the way, you can find the same bridge in the photo in another post I uploaded some time ago. The currently uploaded photo was taken at the … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Curve

Schellbruch In Grayscale

I didn’t like how the image above turned out, because the photo looked very bleached and I changed it to grayscale to make it look better. The image had so much whites and it was even hard to fix it with Lightroom. Sometimes, when images are too white, with too much reflections or if the image is somewhat overexposed or if it looks too bleached, changing it to grayscale or black and white might be an option. I think the result is acceptable anyhow. I shot the photo at the Schellbruch, I haven’t uploaded all the images from there yet. Continue reading Schellbruch In Grayscale
