Black And White Cat Again

There are not enough cat photos in the internet. No matter how much there are, there will be never enough. Above is a photo of my cat Shyna that I shot sometime in 2017. The colored photo looked fine, but I was a bit unhappy with the light in the room. The photo was pretty reddish due to the fact that I had my red window blinds shut. I think I would have uploaded the colored version, but somehow it looked much better in black and white. I really love black and white photography. Continue reading Black And White Cat Again

Black And White Cat

Above is a photo of my cat Shyna again. The original image had a couple of issues, and I disliked the colors in the photo. That’s when I often try out black and white filters. In this case it’s a mix of black and white, and a tiny bit of serpia. She does look a bit grumpy in the photo, does she? Today I saw my cat on the white blanket of my couch, and I thought she would look very dreamy and relaxed. When you don’t have your camera near you, you’re afraid that you could miss the shot but thankfully she was still in that position when I got my camera from the other room. I didn’t edit the image a lot, it’s a nice portrait in my opinion. I just changed the crop a bit and then I added a bit of clarity. I hope you liked the photo too. Outdoor Cat

A week ago I was roaming around in the garden area with my camera because I wanted to photograph birds, but then I saw something behind a fence in the scrub moving. It was the cat that you can see in the picture above. If the photo looks a bit cloudy, that’s effect due to the fact that I shot through a fence. But somehow this fits to the image.
