I shot the photo of this dove a while back. To be honest, I am actually not even sure if it’s a dove, maybe it’s a pigeon, I just know that a dove is exactly the same like a pigeon, and a pigeon exactly the same like a dove, at least here in Germany. For both we have just the name Taube. I assume the bird in the photo is called dove in English, because it’s a white one, I think those that are not white are called pigeon, do I understand this right? Continue reading Beautiful Dove
Didn’t see enough bird photos? Here is another one! The doves in the city are usually not really afraid of humans as they are used to them. The dove on the photo came pretty close to me, I zoomed in with the lens and I also cropped the outer area of the image to make the photo appear even more like a close-up shot. I think this is one image that I really like. You can see lots of details in the feathering, I like that pretty much. Today I did grab the photo gear again and went outside to take more photos. It will probably take months to upload all the photos of the first shooting but I went outside for the second big shooting anyway. I have a lot of fun to take photos with the new camera and it doesn’t really matter when I upload all the images, it’s cool that the photo collection is growing, although I will run out of hard drive space very soon, but I might buy an additional hard drive then.
