Duck and Water Reflection


I found this photo in my library and thought it’s a pretty clean close-up shot. I had to push the shadows quite a bit and did other minor adjustments but it was very minimal editing as the RAW file was already pretty good. I am amazed that I haven’t uploaded it earlier, it’s sitting in my library since 2016. But with the number of photos I shot, it’s not a wonder that I skip some for a while. White Duck


Here is a photo of a white duck. I saw it in a local pond and I’ve read that white ducks aren’t common outside. So, it is most likely a breed of domestic duck, probably escaped. The photo was shot at 1/1600 sec, which was fast enough to get the wing flap in the photo. This is a photo where I didn’t feel the need to edit, except that I increased sharpness because I shot RAW. I also cropped quite a bit to get even closer but that was all. Everything else was fine in my opinion. Continue reading White Duck

Beautiful Duck


I do already have quite a lot of duck photos, but I always like to take new ones because they are both, beautiful and a nice subject to practice and experiment with photography. Because most of the time they aren’t really hectic in the water, and that makes it possible to practice framing. In the case of the photo in my post, I tried to get a shot at eye level.
