Couscous


Above you can see one of my favorite meals, one that is not German. Of course, some of my favorite meals are German, others Italian and I also like Asian food but the meal in the picture is Arabic or North African. Eating


Above you can see a photo that I shot during Christmas Eve when I ate together with my grandma, grandpa and my uncle. We ate turkey with peas, red cabbage, gravy and potato croquettes. Yes, I do upload the image a bit late but it’s not always possible to upload the photos after I shot them. But I mentioned that often, I have a really big backlog. Grünkohl


In winter it’s basically a winter custom here in Northern Germany to eat Grünkohl (kale or leaf cabbage). It might have something to do with the fact that kale is harvested after the first autumn frost, which means you get it during the cold seasons on the table. Grandma invited me yesterday because she prepared Grünkohl, Kassler (smoked pork chop) and Kohlwurst (cooked sausage). Together we just call it Grünkohlessen (eating kale).
