Here is a snapshot I took a while ago when I hiked through the Schellbruch area. It’s a nature reserve in our city and a really beautiful place. As I mentioned in the past, this is also a nice area to take bird photos because there are lots of them each season. But in this case here, I shot the photo because sometimes I like the paths I walk. Above is a photo that I shot some time ago in Reinfeld. It can be a bit swampy around the Herrenteich. That’s why they did build a wooden path there. There are also boards with information’s about the swamp and that it’s a habitat for certain animals and insects. So, I do think the wooden path is not just there to protect people, but also to protect the habitat. Talking about people, I do believe it’s a lot more dangerous here in Lübeck if the Schellbruch area is swampy and flooded. Continue reading Wooden Path

Here is a photo I shot during my winter hikes in Reinfeld. I did hike so much there that I am actually not sure if there is still a path where I didn’t walk. I often use Google Maps to check out where I could go hike, but I have seen a lot around the town, I hiked in all directions.
