Village in Thuringia

I went through the folders of point and shoot or smartphone images today and found the photo above. This was shot in a small village of Thuringia in 2011. The husband of my mother has family there. Sadly, his mother and father died a while ago, but his brother is still living there. I thought you might like the photo. I really don’t want to forget the old photos, which is why I upload older ones once in a while too, and many of them have either been shot with a smartphone or point-and-shoot camera as said. Old Bridge

We have some really cool and old bridges in Lübeck, as the one in the picture above. You can also see the Trave channel in the picture. There are some really cool parks on the side and it’s fun to hike there during spring or summer. On the way you see both, nature but also manmade stuff like old bridges. And as you can see in the background, there are also restaurants where people hang out. The image above was quite foggy, but I removed it. It’s not really a special photo, but I also didn’t want to delete it … Continue reading Old Bridge

Reinfeld and Herrenteich

I still have so many photos of the time when I’ve been in Reinfeld, that I will probably take some years until I uploaded all photos. Above you can see a photo of this place and the pond called “Herrenteich”. But the same counts for the city Lübeck, the place where I live. I don’t think that I ever will be able to upload the whole backlog, but on the other side it’s great to have a massive library, where you can look for photos that you want to share today. It’s also great for photography breaks, because you will … Continue reading Reinfeld and Herrenteich

Baltic Sea Pier

Here is another smartphone snapshot from the past. I like it because of the leading line, the pier. The original had really dull or boring colours. I decided to try different black and white settings and found one that I really liked. I’d say it’s a minimalist photo, but I like that too. The photo was taken at the Baltic Sea in Travemünde. I totally love that place, not just because it’s so close to me, but I am a Fischkopp to the core (a fishhead, a person from Northern Germany, someone who couldn’t live at a place far away … Continue reading Baltic Sea Pier

Schleswig-Holstein Flag

Not much to say about the photo apart from the fact that it’s a Schleswig-Holstein flag. Schleswig-Holstein is a German state, and the place where I live. Sometimes I like to take photos of flags, it’s a bit like collecting these sorts of photos, but also because the flag photos could be useful if I want to write articles about certain places or news. I didn’t upload a lot of flag photos yet, but there are some. Continue reading Schleswig-Holstein Flag
