A Chat With Another Photographer During The Hike

Here is yet again a hiking path photo. I shot the photo today and I met another photographer on this path and we had a long talk about photography. He had a big dog, and I also saw that he had DSLR camera on the shoulder and I asked him if he has seen roe deer in the direction he came from, and he replied “No, not yet, but today I just went into the forest to take portraits of my dog”, and that’s how our conversation started. Often when I meet other photographers, it can happen that we get … Continue reading A Chat With Another Photographer During The Hike

11 Miles Hike

We had a lot of rain over the last weeks, not the perfect weather to go out and to take photos, but the last two days were good. Yesterday, I checked the weather report online, because the previous day was already good, and it seemed it would be the perfect day for a hike. I was right, and I am glad I used the chance, because the weather will get worse again as it seems. I started my hike in the morning so that I could see the sunrise in the forest, and I heard the early birds chirping around … Continue reading 11 Miles Hike

Forest Path

Going through a forest is something very relaxing. Hearing nothing else than the branches and the wood in the wind, hearing the crows and many other birds and animals, that is absolutely enjoyable. I shot the photo above early in the morning when I was wandering around a pond. The trail led me through a forest on the other side of the pond.  If you take the trails where I am right now, you get a mixed view of fields, waters and forests. I am surprised how many birds there are, especially many little ones, but I had no luck … Continue reading Forest Path

Path To The Nature

Here in Reinfeld where I am now for a while, it does only take me a 10 minutes walk to see the nature. I spotted some interesting places, including interesting paths. There is a pond with a lot of birds, but I didn’t have a chance to take photos of the birds as they were too far away for my lens. Yesterday I saw a woman with a quite big lens, I assume she did use a 300mm or 400mm lens and took pictures of cormorants, but they were too far away for my 105mm lens, and it’s sad to … Continue reading Path To The Nature

Now It Looks More Like Autumn

Actually I wanted to share the two photos of this post a week ago, but I couldn’t do that because a family member came to the hospital and my attention was there. Talking about the photos, we had a very long summer, it took some time to see falling leaves, but you can now say it starts to look like autumn. I shot the photos over a week ago when I was hiking. Continue reading Now It Looks More Like Autumn

Wandering In October

It’s October but it was still sunny this week, today the weather was fine too and I used the Sunday to get out of the apartment. Today I didn’t have a goal, I just marched through the city and through some parks outside of the city. I shot some usual subjects like bird photos near the river, some architecture photos in the city and so on. On my way, I found a botanic garden that I didn’t know, it was actually hidden near a path at the riverside, of course I had to take a look. The garden is public … Continue reading Wandering In October
