Micro Biotope


This is a photo of moss and shoots in one of the flower boxes on my mother´s balcony. It´s very tiny and a wonder that my camera was able to take this scene but I´m quite unhappy because the picture is blurred where it shouldn´t be. I have no control about the focus with my point and shoot which is bad. But as mentioned several times, I will dig into macro photography when the time has come and when I have my money together for a decent DSLR or SLR. Water Drops On The Window


We had and still have good summer weather here in North Germany over the last days but yesterday came a storm up and we had rain in the evening. I saw those dark clouds and wanted to take a photo but then I also saw the water drops on my window and wanted to check out my point and shoot camera and the macro mode again. The image above is the result. I really like to see the tiny universe and macro photography could really interest me when I saved up for a DSLR camera some day. Firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus)


Above you can see a Firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus) which I found on my way while wandering through my town. I like the patterns and colors of the Firebug and I guess the name fits very well to the appearance of this bug. I am little bit sad because I took several close-up images of the insect but this little friend was in hurry so that it was not easy.
