Lübeck Cathedral

I’ve been in the old district yesterday as I visited a store to test guitars. And when I am in or near the old district, I often see things that I like to photograph. Yesterday, it was the millpond as we call it in German (Mühlenteich). In the background on the left, you can see the Lübeck Cathedral. In the middle, you see some beautiful villas and on the right, you can see the tower of the St. Aegidien Church. I always like the view you see in the picture but yesterday it looked special because of all the algae … Continue reading Lübeck Cathedral

Forest Path

Some of you might know, I love taking photos of beautiful paths I discovered during hikes, and I already uploaded quite a few photos of paths. So, at the top is a new one. At least a freshly uploaded photo because I actually shot the photo back then in 2016. The photo was taken when I walked through a forest in Reinfeld. It was a calm place surrounded by beautiful nature. I already uploaded a similar photo here. Continue reading Forest Path

Dandelion Close-Up

This close-up photo of a Dandelion plant wasn’t shot with a macro lens, I actually used my Tamron 70-300mm to take the photo. It’s a tele lens and the photo was shot at 300mm focal length, so, that’s basically what I’d call a pseudo-macro shot but it works too. I hope you like the photo. The plant is called Common Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale). By the way, by uploading the image I realized I photographed that plant already in 2014 and it’s funny when you find out how your photography changed with the years. I like fern plants and their leaves, they’re beautiful. It’s maybe because they look and grow perfectly. It’s maybe the symmetry I like. I actually liked them already when I was a kid. In the holidays, I always visited my grandparents on their campground in Salem, a very beautiful place with forests and lakes. With 8 years or so, I dug out a fern … Continue reading Fern Leave
