Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

I don’t know what got into me. But I really didn´t have any idea how I can participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge with the Motto Illumination. Dont bite my Hand

Photo created in autumn 2012. We visited Travemünde near Lübeck at that time. It is a place on the Baltic Sea. As you can see, there are many people who enjoy the fresh air on the sea. There is always activity nevermind what kind of season. The husband of my mother wanted to feed the beautiful swans but it looked funny because they couldn´t get enough and bitten in his hand. Red Fire Shrimp enjoys some Food

Photo of a Red Fire Shrimp in my Fish Tank. The Red Fire Shrimp is eating fish food on the photo as you can see. It is stuff which sinks to the ground and therefor reachable by Ground Fishes and Shrimps. If you throw some of this stuff in there, it will not take a long time until you see several Shrimps trying to get their part of food. Shrimps are pretty funny friends. Beautiful Rivers in Salem

I did shoot this photo last summer near a small north german village called Salem. It is not too far away from Lübeck. I found this photo in my folders and wonder why I didn´t upload this awesome photo of river and nature to my blog. Well, I did it now. I shot the photo directly in the middle of two rivers called “Salemer See” and “Pipersee“. I look to the left side and this is the “Pipersee” but on the right side is the “Salemer See” and both are connected where I did stand to make the photo. The Pink Ladybug

This ladybug did sit on the finger of a friend last summer. And I had to shoot a photo. I recovered the photo in one of my folders today and decided to edit the photo. I didn´t like the original image and added some focal blur and decreased the color saturation in the area while I kept and enhanced the color of the ladybug so that the insect stays in focus. I decided to colorize the ladybug from red to pink so that the image looks somewhat unnatural and funny. The result of the last change is not that good … Continue reading The Pink Ladybug

The Fancy Daisy

I uploaded the photo above already to an older blogpost about a digital camera I bought last summer. You can find the original photo in the mentioned blogpost. But I was bored and edited a few older photos. I came across the daisy photo and liked how differend effects did appeal on the image. Well, above you see the result of the edited photo.
