Lonely Robin

Here is a photo of a robin and it always looks like a backlit photograph. The bird and tree branches became so dark because my ISO was set too low for the cloudy day, but in this case I do really love the result, because as said, it looks like a backlight photograph. I expected it would be a robin bird, but to me sure I raised the shadow details for a moment and saw “Yep, it’s a robin” and decreased it again as I wanted to preserve the backlight effect. You can find more photos of robins on my … Continue reading Lonely Robin

Raindrops On The Window

Looking for something beautiful in my apartment, I saw my windows and all the raindrops on it. The weather is not good outside, but at least it makes the windows become visually appealing. By the way, do you like the sound of raindrops on the windows too? I always like to listen to the raindrops on the windows. It can be pretty cozy if you are inside but it’s raining outside. You can also find some other photos of raindrops on my blog, but there are not much photos. Continue reading Raindrops On The Window

Bored Kitty

Here is a photo of my cat Shyna again. She is quite bored this weeks since I can not play a lot with her due to my strain. But I tried to follow her and shot a photo in the floor, you really see her boredom. The boredom makes her unhappy, and at the moment she is grumpy and up for nonsense. I was bored too and loaded the image up in Lightroom and tried the free Nik Filter Collection. I used one of the Analog Efex Pro 2 filters from the filter collection and I like how it turned … Continue reading Bored Kitty

Time Out For My Legs: Adductor Muscle Strain On The Thigh

I just established a new category on my blog, I will call this one medical photography. You think I am funny? No, I am just bored. At the moment I have issues with my legs, I visited the doctor and he diagnosed adductor muscle strain. I got Iboprofen for the pain, and the friendly hint that it will go away in eight weeks and if I am lucky even earlier. So, since I can not go out at the moment, I thought I challenge myself to take a photo that describes my problem well. The strain started last week and … Continue reading Time Out For My Legs: Adductor Muscle Strain On The Thigh

Walking White Wagtail

I shot so many bird photos when I was in Reinfeld for half a year, that I still didn’t finish to upload them all. But I mentioned this already in other posts and I will continue to work on my backlog. In this post I want to show you a photo that I shot at that time. During a hike, I spotted a white wagtail on the path. I could get quite close. The bird didn’t fly away, it walked with a limp so that I assumed something was wrong with one of the legs and the wings. That poor … Continue reading Walking White Wagtail

Small Alley

We have some very small alleys in the city centre of Lübeck. Most of them are remains of the medieval urban development. I find it difficult to take photos in narrow alleys, but that just because I am always not sure how to frame the scene in this case. With the photo in this post I didn’t want to show you the whole scene but a part of it. I wanted to frame the cozy corner of it, because many of the residents have seating areas in front of their homes. The alleys are very calm places, because most of … Continue reading Small Alley
