Mall Christmas Decoration

Here is a photo that I shot in a local mall. It was rather a random shot, but I like how the photo turned out. It’s maybe more abstract, or as said, just random. But I liked how the Christmas decoration was hanging down, and the windows in the background at the ceiling. I actually tested to focus on the lights, but then I did focus on the ceiling and liked it more. I do have a Christmas category since some time, but I never uploaded much photos to it. I can see that this category might be more filled … Continue reading Mall Christmas Decoration

Shopping Mall Christmas Decoration

I like Christmas decoration. Now with the 50mm f/1.8g lens, that is even more interesting. I can take pictures of Christmas lights with bokeh, I find that very beautiful. I assume I will do this quite often in the future until I maybe get bored with the bokeh. But for now this is really interesting as I couldn’t do this well with my other lenses. Together with my mother, I was shopping in a mall today, and there was all kind of Christmas decoration. That was a great place to play with my lens. Photo Shooting, Shopping And Tasty Bockwürstchen

I met my mother today because we wanted to go shopping together in a big shopping center. I shot some very cool portraits of my mother on the way to the malls, and even inside the shopping center because Christmas trees or any Christmas lights make a nice bokeh portrait background. We definitely had fun, although my mother is a bit shy because strangers were curious and looked, but I told her “You will get used to it”. As a German, I can tell you, taking photos or posing for a portrait is definitely not normal in Germany. For the … Continue reading Photo Shooting, Shopping And Tasty Bockwürstchen

Cobblestone Street in Lübeck

Here is a photo that I shot some weeks ago when I also took the other street photo and another nice photo of Lübeck. The photo I show you in my current post was shot with 30 seconds shutter speed with a tripod. We have some interesting narrow alleys in Lübeck. I have some similar photos that I didn’t upload yet, but as always I will do this over time. Continue reading Cobblestone Street in Lübeck

Testing The 50mm Lens With My Cat

It’s raining outside and that means I don’t want to test my new 50mm lens outside yet. But I tested this lens already inside, especially at f/1.8 to get a nice blurry background or shallow depth of field. The problem is however that depth of field can become too shallow sometimes. Well, this is actually not a problem, it’s rather one of the reasons why I wanted to get this 50mm lens. What I meant is, that I do now have to get used to different aperture settings, or to be more exact to control this and to learn when … Continue reading Testing The 50mm Lens With My Cat
