Somewhere In Reinfeld

Here is a photo I have taken somewhere outside of Reinfeld, and you can even see the town in the background. I’d say the place is very beautiful, but I am actually not that sure anymore if I ever want to visit the place again if the worst case occurs, now that my uncle’s diagnosis changed. Talking With A Farmer

Today I was outside again, and I took the paths through the small forests, around the ponds, and over fields. Close to a farm (not the one in the photo) near a small forest, I watched over the fields and into the sky, because I was looking for bird of prey, and then a farmer greeted me and asked if I would look for birds. Hidden Gray Heron

Sometimes when I walk around the pond called Herrenteich in Reinfeld, I see Gray Herons, it’s just not easy to take photos of them. The large pond is divided by a footbridge, and it separates the pond in two areas. So, one pond side is a natural reserve and walkers can only view it from the bridge and a couple of other spots, but overall the area is well shielded by plants and trees, and this is intentional so that the animals and nature is protected there. Weekly Photo Challenge: Landscape

The recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about landscapes. I was outside yesterday and shot the photo you can see in this post. It’s a pond called Herrenteich in Reinfeld. It’s a great place to hike, I liked the place during the winter, but now that the season is changing, I like it even more. I find a lot of birds there, there are many fields and smaller forests and beautiful trails near the pond, it’s a calming place. Since I am here, only really bad weather could hinder me to go out. Trip to Bad Oldesloe, Local Newspaper, Nature and Good Weather

Some weeks ago I thought spring weather would start, but then we had again several days in a row with really bad weather. Winter Hike

Here is a photo I shot during my winter hikes in Reinfeld. I did hike so much there that I am actually not sure if there is still a path where I didn’t walk. I often use Google Maps to check out where I could go hike, but I have seen a lot around the town, I hiked in all directions.
