Weekly Photo Challenge: Grand

This image is my entry to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Grand. The gate on the left side of the image is called Holstentor (in english: Holsten Gate) and it is the landmark of the town Lübeck where I live. People who are interested about this beautiful and old architecture, might want to check out the article about the Holsten Gate on Wikipedia. While I know a lot about our landmark, I am actually little bit too lazy to prepare a complex and huge article. But I might hit that topic in the future too as I still have a lot … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Grand

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

With the photo above I want to participate to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected. This is a shot with my smartphone and the quality is not great as the lighting conditions were bad. But it was still one of the moments when my cat gets funny. That is usually the moment when my cat starts to show some unexpected talents. This is why I think that the image does fit to the challenge even with bad quality of the photo. On the photo you can see a chair with a broken seat. The photo was taken before I wanted to … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

This is my entry to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon. We did stand on a highrise and saw the city boundary of Lübeck. Viewing in the direction where the town ends and the nature has some room. I enjoyed the view in all directions from the highrise. In this direction you can only see nature and small villages. The photo is some months old and I remember that I didn´t have my own phone with me. The husband of my mother did take the photo and I got it later via WhatsApp and this is the reason why I do … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated

This is my entry to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated. It´s my kitty Shyna again. You know I love her so much, and take tons of photos with her! 🙂 I amplified the contrast and saturation much so that the image fits to the challenge. I like how the orange and blue blankets appears more powerful now. Also my cats eye´s do appear much more green due to the increased saturation. All the colours look more powerful on the image than before. I should play more often with the saturation of images. Funny how inspiring the Weekly Photo Challenge can … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns

Above you can see my contribution to the Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns. A friend and me met each other to go play darts. The problem is that he is in a dart club and me not. He threw his darts often three times in a row in the same numbers. But on the photo above you can see my throws. They seems to be more random, right? Yea, and I do suggest you to go aside or better, go run for cover if you meet me anywhere playing darts. 😀 Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns
