Water Pump In Our Garden

One of the great things about the D7100 is that I can now literally can freeze water on a photo. That was often difficult with my point and shoot, but with the DSLR you really can get crystal clear photos of running water. I do also like that I can crop the image and there are not much details lost if I do so. Here I will show you the original and the cropped photo of the water pump in our garden and the water jet, you need to click on the images to enlarge them. Continue reading Water Pump In Our Garden

Random Plant Photo

Here I will show you one photo that I really like. It’s a close-up photo of a random plant branch that I found on my way when I was walking outside yesterday. I didn’t edit the image apart from resizing. There are no improvements made, this is basically how the photo came out of the camera. I know, the D7100 can also be used if it is darker, but without tripod this is probably very difficult, and apart from that I have not the experience yet to do these shots. But I was very curios and excited in the evening, … Continue reading After 900 Shots I Can Say This Camera Is Impressive

Funny Test Shot And My First Impressions With The D7100

I was the whole afternoon at home, experimenting with my new Nikon D7100. After some time I had the basics down. I first had to learn how to mount the lens to the camera, I also did put my UV filter on the lens as protection, and then the lens hood but all that was easy. A much bigger challenge was to attach the strap to the camera but after a while I featured out how it works. There are a hell of a lot of buttons on the camera. It took me a while to understand some basic buttons … Continue reading Funny Test Shot And My First Impressions With The D7100
