Excursion to the Domsee in Ratzeburg


We had a ride yesterday and visited some places in our federal state Schleswig-Holstein. On our tour we also drove to the village called Ratzeburg. This is a small town but surrounded by much nature including several lakes. On the photo above you can see a smaller lake that is called Domsee. You see a small cathedral in the background that is probably the reason why the lake is called “Domsee”, because “Dom” is German and means something like “Church” or “Cathedral” and the ending “see” means “sea” or “lake”. Black And White Cat Image


I was a little bit bored and decided to take one of Shyna’s photos to edit the image with Photoshop and Lightroom. Above you can see the results after editing. I decided to go for black and white style. Below you can see how the image looked like before editing… It’s really fun to experiment with photos. No Beach Time Yet


Self-explaining scene I’d say. It’s still not the time to go bathe in the Baltic Sea. I am happy that summer is not too far away. Swimming in the Baltic Sea is always like a healing process. The salty air makes you feel good, the sound of the waves wipes away the accumulated stress. It’s good to walk on the beach no matter what kind of season, but it would be greater to be able to jump into the water, but I need to be patient. Continue reading No Beach Time Yet
