Talking About The Brain Tumor

As some of my regular readers might have notices, I moved to another town where I stayed for almost four months to help my uncle. I moved there with my most important things, including my cat you see in the photo of this post, and my computer and a couple of other things I needed, as I was aware it could be a longer stay. Some days ago I moved back into my own apartment in my hometown, because my uncle has a couple of appointments in the hospital in my town. I didn’t go into detail back then for … Continue reading Talking About The Brain Tumor

Eurasian Blue Tit On A Tree

I thought I share a photo of the Eurasian Blue Tit bird again. I shot the winter sometime during the winter. I have no idea why I shot the photo at 1/2000 of a second, maybe because I was outside to take photos of flying birds? But even then the camera setting would have been too fast. I am unhappy with the camera settings that I saw in the metadata and I wish I would have used other settings. The photo is shot at 300mm and I cropped the image to get even closer. I like the composition that I … Continue reading Eurasian Blue Tit On A Tree

Hidden Gray Heron

Sometimes when I walk around the pond called Herrenteich in Reinfeld, I see Gray Herons, it’s just not easy to take photos of them. The large pond is divided by a footbridge, and it separates the pond in two areas. So, one pond side is a natural reserve and walkers can only view it from the bridge and a couple of other spots, but overall the area is well shielded by plants and trees, and this is intentional so that the animals and nature is protected there. The photo in this post is shot from one of the few spots … Continue reading Hidden Gray Heron

Female House Sparrow On The Gutter

We enjoyed our barbecue on the terrace some days ago when I noticed a sparrow on the gutter, and after researching I think that it was a female house sparrow. My camera was inside and I was sure the bird would fly away if I would stand up, but I did it anyway and I was right, the bird flew away. I hoped that the bird would come back and it happened. The bird was probably building a nest in the gutter or near the gutter. I was happy that I had a few more chances to take the photo … Continue reading Female House Sparrow On The Gutter

Cormorant Flyby

In this post you can see a photo of a cormorant that flew by when I was walking near the pond in Reinfeld. I am not sure why I shot the photo at 240mm, I could have used the 300mm of my Tamron lens, but I probably had no time to make that decision. Now I had to crop the 240mm to get closer, but I believe the image is still ok. I noticed that cormorants are not the best aviators, it’s funny to watch them flying, their flight looks awkward compared to the other birds. It’s easy to spot … Continue reading Cormorant Flyby

Beautiful Eurasian Blue Tit

Here is another bird photo. It’s some weeks ago when I found this Eurasian blue tit on a branch. It was cloudy and quite dark as you can see in the background, and sadly I was still too far away to fill the frame, which means I had to crop and the image quality suffered. There is sadly also chromatic aberration in this photo. Anyway, the scene is good and I like this bird pretty much. I see this one quite often as well, at least here in the nature, not so often in the city. While my Tamron 70-300mm … Continue reading Beautiful Eurasian Blue Tit
