As mentioned previously, I also take photos of flags sometimes. I didn’t upload much of them yet. Here is this post is the flag of Sweden and I shot the photo near the harbor in our city. I realized it’s very easy to find different flags in the harbor area or in the garden areas (many garden owners raise their flags, maybe because they came from these places or have roots there). I am not exactly hunting for flag photos but I sometimes see them anyway and that is when I usually take a picture. It’s great if I have my own set of photos because who knows, maybe I want to write about different places or something was said in the news and then I have my own stock photos I can use if I decide to write about it too. Apart from that, I also somehow like ensigns.
The designs of flags encompass a lot…;)
I sometimes wonder what the colors of shapes mean for different flags. I should probably read about it on Wiki. 🙂
I think they do!
There’s lots of interesting history behind flags, Dennis, and it is interesting indeed to look those histories up on Wikipedia.
Yes I know because I’ve read up on some local flags in the past. Super interesting!
Here’s the history of the Swedish flag, for example. Most interesting! https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Under_the_Volcano
I think you posted a link to a novel but you probably meant this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Sweden
Oops! Yes, that’s the one! The novel link is one I posted on another comment.
