Eurasian Treecreeper Again

One day ago I uploaded a photo of an Eurasian treecreeper. I edited another photo today, and thought I upload one of these birds again. Without taking a look at the metadata of the image, I assume that I shot the photo the same day. I shot several photos of them in February, because I know where they hang around. I will upload more photos of Eurasian treecreepers in the future, once I have edited them a bit. Meanwhile you might be interested to take a look at my other bird photos, I am happy that my collection is growing. Continue reading Eurasian Treecreeper Again

Forestry In Northern Germany

Sometimes when I go hiking here in Reinfeld, I see the result of the local forestry logging. Sometimes I find those big paths of the heavy equipment, and the logs on the side. Even if there is logging, I often still see animals in those forest areas. Here in the north we have mainly small forest areas, not so big like the forest areas in Thuringia or Bavaria. But it’s still interesting to hike through smaller forests, and it can take you time too depending on the size, but usually it takes no more than 30 minutes or 1 hour … Continue reading Forestry In Northern Germany

Running Up A Tree

It seems I shot a photo of an Eurasian treecreeper, that’s at least what I found out during my research and when I compared the results with my photo. I saw this kind of bird quite often since I am in Reinfeld. I usually see them near the pond at the trees, and it almost looks like they run up trees. If my research is right, then it would fit, because the German name for the Eurasian treecreeper is “Waldbaumläufer”, which means something like “Forest Tree Runner”, literally translated. As said, they really run up trees, and I wouldn’t even … Continue reading Running Up A Tree

Pretty Foggy

I noticed that I don’t have a lot of fog pictures on my blog. But I still have some in my folders, photos that I should upload over time to fill this category a little bit too. I shot the photo some time ago, at the time when I shot this and this photo. I like foggy days, and it’s a perfect time to go out, because it appears so calm and beautiful. Fog is very interesting, but it can be challenging in photography due to the bad lighting conditions. Continue reading Pretty Foggy

A Pigeon On A Field

Even if you can find pigeons everywhere, I still like to take photos of them, because it’s all about practicing. I believe if I take a lot of photos, I can improve my future work, and to me it doesn’t matter how often you can find a subject, I still like to take pictures of them. In the case of my recent pigeon photo, I liked how the pigeon was sitting there lonely on the field. I started to enjoy bird photography, although I do think it can be very challenging if you want to take photos of special birds … Continue reading A Pigeon On A Field

Deer In The Forest

I shot the two above yesterday in the morning during my hike through a forest. I saw deer but the first photos didn’t turn out well as I really didn’t expect to see them. But then I was more attentive, and around 10 minutes later I saw deer again, I shot the two photos you can see in this post. I think the photos are ok, I shot them at 300mm and cropped the first one a little bit. It’s really awesome if you find deer in the morning, it’s a nice experience and makes you enjoy the hike even … Continue reading Deer In The Forest
