Happy New Year


This year was pretty abstract, so let’s start with an abstract photo on my blog. Seriously, this time I didn’t expect that I could get any firework photos as stores were not allowed to sell them this year, thus I did just leave the camera at home. Dishwater Foam and Bubbles


Here is another experimental photo I shot with my 40mm macro lens. I saw the small foam bubbles in my dishwater and thought this could be a great macro subject. So, I attached the 40mm lens to my camera and took some photos but I think the image at the top is the best one. I shot the photo late and used higher ISO settings. But I attached a paper to my lens in front of the flashlight with elastic bands to make the flash bounce off the walls. Fir Hedge Background


Still experimenting with my new 40mm lens. And I realized you can also take some photos with it that could work as a nice Windows background on my PC, or as a background on my mobile devices. What I did there with the image above was getting very close to a fir hedge, focussing in the front and having depth of field in the background. I like photos like this one and will probably take my own background images in the future. Happy New Year


I wish you all a happy new year. I just came home a half hour ago. I didn’t do much this year. I celebrated together with my mother, my cousin and her boyfriend. We did listen to music and talked a lot and watched the fireworks at midnight. I didn’t take any photos but found an abstract photo in my library that somehow fits to New Year’s Eve.
