The Delusion of Keyboard-Warriors And Armchair Idealists

So, this post is partly a photo post but also about something that did upset me. Some of us are a bit concerned about the increasing population of wolves in our forests. You basically have two or three factions when it’s about wolves. First there are those that are quite happy about the fact that the population is increasing. Then there are concerned people, the so-called wolf-enemies. And finally there are also people like me, aligned somewhere in the middle, thinking that you should at least keep the population of wolves at bay since there is nothing on top of … Continue reading The Delusion of Keyboard-Warriors And Armchair Idealists

Grey Goose

I found this photo of a grey goose in my library. During the warm seasons it’s quite easy to find them. Outside of the city they are often on fields or near water. But also in the city it’s possible to find them, for example in parks or near ponds. I don’t have many photos of this bird species on my blog and thought I upload this one to my grey goose category. I do already have 112 posts in my birds category, it’s funny because when I started with photography, I did not expect that I would take so … Continue reading Grey Goose

Action Dog And Garden Fun

Today we went into the garden again, because it was planned to meet some other family members that we don’t see regularly. It was my grand-aunt, my grand-uncle, my second cousin and her little daughter. My second cousin did not only come with the daughter but also with her dog. Of course, the meeting was with “Kaffee und Kuchen” again, because this is how we network in the family, and it’s probably the equivalent of the British tea time. I am very sure that I destroyed my calorie balance today but sometimes you have to enjoy life. I say that … Continue reading Action Dog And Garden Fun

Happy Sheep

Here is a photo that I shot on my way during the last hike. I saw some fields with sheep, but we have lots of them in Northern Germany. I think they have it good for the time of being because the fields are usually very large, that’s why I wrote “Happy Sheep” in the title. I didn’t do a lot of editing except for some tone changes as usual. I did “mute” the green color a bit to make the sheep become a bit more present in the image. In other words, I did decrease saturation of the color … Continue reading Happy Sheep

Horse Eye

Trying something different, I shot a close-up photo of a white horse as I wanted to focus on one of the eyes. I like how it turned out, you can see the eyelashes very well. This is rather an experimental photo, I really like to try things out. The photo was taken during my hike yesterday. I didn’t take a lot of photos as I find it difficult in this less colourful season, but sometimes I still spot interesting things on my way. I hope you like this experimental photo too.
