Outdoor Cat

A week ago I was roaming around in the garden area with my camera because I wanted to photograph birds, but then I saw something behind a fence in the scrub moving. It was the cat that you can see in the picture above. If the photo looks a bit cloudy, that’s effect due to the fact that I shot through a fence. But somehow this fits to the image. Maybe because it gives the image the paparazzo vibe (laugh). This cat did not like paparazzi and disappeared in the deeper scrub after I shot the photo. It’s the time … Continue reading Outdoor Cat

The Cat Tree Issue

I wanted to share an edited photo of my cat Shyna, but something related weights on my mind so that I use this post to chat a bit. I did finish my living room and now I am looking to purchase a new cat scratching post. It’s funny, I can’t count anymore how often I discovered a niche over the last years. It basically happened again this week, at least to a certain extend. Most cat climbing trees that are sold in Germany are beige-colored, our old tree was the same. The color is ok but not exactly what I … Continue reading The Cat Tree Issue

Give Me Five Cat

My cat Shyna knows quite a lot of tricks. When I shot the photo above, I said “Give me five” but in German. But I wouldn’t be surprised if she can do it if I say it in English. I say that because I taught her a lot of tricks and I noticed that she doesn’t only listen to me, it is also that she looks what my hands are doing. A flat horizontal hand for example does mean “Give me your paw”, while a vertical hand does mean “Give me five”. It works both ways, I can either use … Continue reading Give Me Five Cat

Mascot of the Blog

It’s time to share a photo of my cat Shyna again. She is basically the mascot of the blog, and I shot thousands of photos with her. At this time there are 140 posts about her on my blog. I expected more to be honest, but maybe I didn’t tag all the posts with her name when I started this blog in 2011, and this would mean there are much more. Talking about the photo, I liked her pose, but I disliked the warm colours as the photo was shot in the evening with bad lighting. I almost deleted the … Continue reading Mascot of the Blog

A Cat I Saw In The Gardens

I was wandering along the trails where all the garden are to find new photo subjects. Then I saw a bicolor cat in one of the gardens. This bicolored cat was not really shy, came through the garden fence and stopped in front of me to say hello. The cat was also pretty chatty and it was cute to hear all the miaou. The cat might have noticed the smell of Shyna on my clothes, who knows. It’s also interesting that it was a black and white cat as well. I have some more photos… Continue reading A Cat I Saw In The Gardens
