Angry Cat
I am honest with you, the title of this post (Angry Cat) is pure click-bait. I mean, in the photo it definitely looks like Shyna is very angry but that was not the case when I shot the photo. You … Continue reading Angry Cat

Here is an old photo of my cat from 2014. I fed my cat and took the photo with a point-and-shoot camera. Sadly the image was pretty blurry, but it was less apparent with different black and white presets, which is why I decided to use one. It’s not one of the greatest photos, but I also don’t like to delete my cat photos as these are memories too. But you definitely can find better photos of Shyna on my blog. It’s certain, cats love cardboard boxes and Shyna isn’t different. That’s why it’s not her first photo with a cardboard box on my blog. When I get a delivery, I always let my cat play a bit with the cardboard box for some days. I think cats like it that we live in a time of online shopping because that’s why there is never a shortage of cardboard boxes. Continue reading Cardboard Boxes Are Great
Here is a photo of a common blackbird. The photo didn’t work well in color but I liked it more in black and white. It’s still not perfect but the reason I converted the image was that the colors looked dull, and the background was way too intrusive. But now that’s not the case anymore and the bird pops a bit more out. There are more bird photos on my blog. Continue reading Blackbird
Just a snapshot I took near our train station. I like shapes of different bridges. Generally, the picture was a bit boring, but in black and white it really looked great. I don’t know, especially urban photos can look really grungy in black and white, especially when there are smearings on buildings or walls. I think these pictures start to shine when you convert them to black and white. But maybe it’s just my taste. I really like it that. But I do generally like black and white photography. I don’t have much time anymore because I meet a friend in voice chat the next minutes, but I wanted to push the photo above out to my blog. I tried to get a close-up photo of my cat with the 40mm macro lens I am using. The paw turned out to be a bit too distracting in the photo, and I hoped the paw would be less blatant. When I saw Shyna sleepy and surrounding her eye with her paw, I thought this would be a nice photo. I like how it is framed, but I really hoped there … Continue reading Sleepy Cat
