World of Warcraft Down To 5.6 Million Subscribers

Just before the announcement of the next World of Warcraft expansion name, the number of active subscribers declined heavily during the second quarter of 2015. This is a decline of 1.5 million active players when you compare it with the first quarter of 2015 where World of Warcraft had 7.1 million subscribers. Sequel of the next WoW expansion already in the works too…

Blizzard did let the cat out of the bag last week. It´s now known that the next World of Warcraft expansion will be called Warlords of Draenor. But Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Morhaime states now in an interview with Polygon, that they even have already a team workin on a Warlords of Draenor sequel. In other words, Blizzard plans to release WoW expansions more frequently than they did before. It´s interesting. World of Warcraft Patch 5.4 is out and I never felt so unconcerned like now.
