In the photo above you see Charlie running around with a ball in the mouth and my mother tries to catch him. I think this photo is pretty funny. It’s a bit unsharp but I still like the whole action scene. He’s really a dog where you can practice these kind of action shots because he’s always full of energy. But right, so many dogs are. Today I visited my mother and her dog Charlie came to me when I was on the balcony. I thought I take a snapshot with my 40mm lens. It was not easy because it was afternoon and cloudy. I am unhappy with the focus but I don’t want to delete the photo. I just call it a snapshot and experimenting (laugh). Maybe I can do it better on a brighter day. Above you can see a portrait photo of Charlie, the dog of my mother. There was minimal editing with the photo. I thought the photo was pretty perfect. The only things I did was cropping a tiny bit of the top to remove what I would call “too much space”, and I added a bit of clarity and sharpness since this usually makes the fur of pets more present. I would still say this was a snapshot, because I remember that I spontaneously took the photo, but it’s a good snapshot in my opinion. But with pets that is easy, … Continue reading Charlie
Here is a portrait of Charlie. I didn’t like the image at first because his nose was very blurry, but I tried to hide the issue by using a black and white filter and using a dark graduated filter to make one side of the face darker. I think it somehow works. Continue reading In the Dark
