Attentive Cat

Time for a Shyna photo again. I’d say, this time it’s a portrait of her. We shot that photo when I had her on a leash outside on a terrace. As a house cat, she was quite confused with all those strange sounds in this alien world outside. I say alien world, because she was really not used to it. It was quite funny but I wrote about that already too many times back then. Anyway, I liked the photos we shot because due to the fact that she was very attentive or that she tried to understand the new … Continue reading Attentive Cat

Give Me Five Cat

My cat Shyna knows quite a lot of tricks. When I shot the photo above, I said “Give me five” but in German. But I wouldn’t be surprised if she can do it if I say it in English. I say that because I taught her a lot of tricks and I noticed that she doesn’t only listen to me, it is also that she looks what my hands are doing. A flat horizontal hand for example does mean “Give me your paw”, while a vertical hand does mean “Give me five”. It works both ways, I can either use … Continue reading Give Me Five Cat

Testing The 50mm Lens With My Cat

It’s raining outside and that means I don’t want to test my new 50mm lens outside yet. But I tested this lens already inside, especially at f/1.8 to get a nice blurry background or shallow depth of field. The problem is however that depth of field can become too shallow sometimes. Well, this is actually not a problem, it’s rather one of the reasons why I wanted to get this 50mm lens. What I meant is, that I do now have to get used to different aperture settings, or to be more exact to control this and to learn when … Continue reading Testing The 50mm Lens With My Cat

Tired Kitty

Life is so much better if you don’t have to wear a lampshade, that’s what Shyna probably thought when I removed it from her neck. But she did a good job, because she became used to the lampshade quickly, as same as she was ok with the daily rituals of applying an ointment to her wound. The wounds disappeared and the fur grew back, and it also seems that she doesn’t have itching anymore. So, let’s celebrate this with a new photo of my cat Shyna. We shot the photo yesterday, I saw her lying tired on the couch and … Continue reading Tired Kitty

Eye Spy

It’s interesting, yesterday I uploaded a photo of my cat Shyna and I talked about her eyes, and today there is the photo challenge called Eye Spy, a photo challenge about eyes. Don’t worry, I have so many photos of Shyna, and I thought the photo of this post fits very well to the challenge. To be honest, I like this photo even more, it’s extremely cute anyhow. If you wonder what she has in her mouth, she was chewing on a cat play pole, but it looks as if she would drink from a straw. I shot several photos … Continue reading Eye Spy
