Water Pump In Our Garden

One of the great things about the D7100 is that I can now literally can freeze water on a photo. That was often difficult with my point and shoot, but with the DSLR you really can get crystal clear photos of running water. I do also like that I can crop the image and there are not much details lost if I do so. Here I will show you the original and the cropped photo of the water pump in our garden and the water jet, you need to click on the images to enlarge them. Continue reading Water Pump In Our Garden

Finally, My First DSLR…

A small update here. Some of you know that I did fight with myself if I should buy the new Nikon D7200 or the D7100. To be honest, I had already headache because of too much thinking. Today I decided to buy the D7100. This camera was price reduced due to the D7200 release and I had the budget for it. I now had some savings leftover that I could use to get me a camera bag and other stuff, and then I still have money that I can use elsewhere. I decided that this camera should be enough for … Continue reading Finally, My First DSLR…

Maybe You Need To Wait A Little Longer For The Nikon D7200 Announcement

Some leaks indicate that Nikon will release the D7200, the successor for the D7100 DSLR camera. However, a lot of people assumed that the Nikon D7200 could be announced during the CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show in Japan. The exhibition is already running and will end on February 15, that means the D7200 could be still announced during the show, but apart from the leaked D7200 certificate, there were not much other leaks, so that it is still questionable if Nikon will really announce the D7200 during the exhibition in Japan. Apart from the announcement rumors, there was also … Continue reading Maybe You Need To Wait A Little Longer For The Nikon D7200 Announcement

Not Far Away From The Nikon D7100

As I mentioned some time ago, I do save money for a Nikon D7100 DSLR camera. I think most would agree, saving money is not always easy because at times there appear other unscheduled costs. However, I am very patient and motivated when I want to get to something special. So, to make it short and to motivate myself again, I am now not that far away from the camera anymore. Overall I did put €630 into my money-box. Then I got a little bit sick about my Bitcoin “investment” as the exchange rate of this currency is still crazy … Continue reading Not Far Away From The Nikon D7100

The Roudmap To The Nikon D7100

One of the things that my blog taught me is that I pretty much enjoy taking photos. When I remember right, everything started when I noticed that I can glam up my articles with photos. I began to add photos to my articles in an ever-increasing rhythm. At some point, I didn´t know anymore what exactly I wanted to highlight and share, thoughts or photos? Today I know, both, words and images. It didn´t take me a long time to figure out that my interest in graphic design did benefit from my huge photo folders too. I had my own … Continue reading The Roudmap To The Nikon D7100

Daily Prompt: Great Expectations

Today the Daily Prompt asks “Tell us about one thing (or more) that you promised yourself you’d accomplish by the end of the year. How would you feel once you do? What if you don’t?” and I really can relate to this question. After tons of photos that I took with my point and shoot camera or smartphone, I really would say that I am interested in taking photos. While I do think that you can get great results on this way, I also found out the limitations of the hardware. I have the idea in my mind to buy … Continue reading Daily Prompt: Great Expectations
