Photo Shooting, Shopping And Tasty Bockwürstchen

I met my mother today because we wanted to go shopping together in a big shopping center. I shot some very cool portraits of my mother on the way to the malls, and even inside the shopping center because Christmas trees or any Christmas lights make a nice bokeh portrait background. We definitely had fun, although my mother is a bit shy because strangers were curious and looked, but I told her “You will get used to it”. As a German, I can tell you, taking photos or posing for a portrait is definitely not normal in Germany. For the … Continue reading Photo Shooting, Shopping And Tasty Bockwürstchen

Hospital Frequenters

I am currently very happy about our decision to get an apartment for my uncle in our city, an apartment very close to the rest of the family. But we can only be happy about the fact that he is now living close to us all, the recent events are rather sad, but we are more and more used to bad news. After the surgery, we knew the result was a complete resection of his tumor, but we were aware about the definition of the term “complete”, but I explained in another post what it means. Beautiful Black Dog

My uncle’s dog Emmi is very beautiful, and she is also very photogenic. Today she enjoyed the weather with us all in the garden, and she could play with Charlie. They both did use the lawn to play, but they also jumped through the plant bed and that was not so good. My mother and her husband planted carrots, potatoes, beans and so much more. The husband of my mother was not so amazed when the dogs jumped through the crops. Continue reading Beautiful Black Dog

One Chicken of Many Chickens

The family came together today for a barbecue. The weather was perfect, we met each other in my mother’s garden. It was a great day, especially for my uncle, who seemed to enjoy it a lot. I did take the chance to speak with everyone in the family, and meanwhile I also shot some photos of flowers and birds in the garden. It was also fun to see our small chicken farm again, and of course, I had to photograph one of our chickens. I do probably repeat myself if I say that they are funny, I guess I said … Continue reading One Chicken of Many Chickens

This Is Something We Didn’t Want To Hear

I actually planned to show you some of the photos I shot during my hikes, and I maybe will do this the days or in the evening to distract myself, but now I am still a bit sad. As I wrote in another post, my uncle got diagnosed with Oligoastrocytoma WHO Grade III, but yesterday we got another shock, they changed the diagnosis and told us that it is a Glioblastoma Multiforme WHO Grade IV. I can not tell you how sad I was when I heard that, because due to all the reading, I am very aware what that … Continue reading This Is Something We Didn’t Want To Hear
