Chill Out On The Couch Near The Fish Tank

Above you can see my smaller fish tank when this thing was still ok. Back then, me and my cat enjoyed to chill out on the couch near the fish tank in the evening because the lights of the fish tank were really relaxing. We both enjoyed it. Overtime I got some trouble with the fish tank. I tested all water parameters regularly as I am very well-known about fish tanks and couldn’t find any issue, but still some fishes died each week so that I had not any left after some months. I think there was some kind of … Continue reading Chill Out On The Couch Near The Fish Tank

Aquarium fishes introduced: Boraras brigittae

My favorite fish for fishkeeping is the Mosquito Rasbora. This is a gorgeous little fish. You can see them in my fish tank in the video above, swimming near the water surface, seeking for food and enjoying the flow of water near my self-build filter and pump. The Moskito Rasbora is also called Boraras brigittae (scientific name). This is a pretty tiny fish (1-3 cm depending on their age) and great for smaller fish tanks. The fish tank in the video above for example contains just 60 liters of water. I have round about 15 Mosquito Rasbora´s in my fish … Continue reading Aquarium fishes introduced: Boraras brigittae

Finally some Photos of a Mosquito Rasbora Fish

I did spend several days now trying to take some photos of the Mosquito Rasbora Fishes which swimm in my smaller Fish Tank. It is not easy because they are under 3 cm and wont get bigger. Also they must swimm on the front to get them on the photo and then they are too fast so that hundreds of photos were blured. But now I have some Photos of the Mosquito Rasbora which are ok. But I had to edit them a lot with Adobe Lightroom. But I think the photos are ok now. It was difficult but I … Continue reading Finally some Photos of a Mosquito Rasbora Fish

Red Fire Shrimp enjoys some Food

Photo of a Red Fire Shrimp in my Fish Tank. The Red Fire Shrimp is eating fish food on the photo as you can see. It is stuff which sinks to the ground and therefor reachable by Ground Fishes and Shrimps. If you throw some of this stuff in there, it will not take a long time until you see several Shrimps trying to get their part of food. Shrimps are pretty funny friends. I did read: “For some of you, in the northern hemisphere, you may not be seeing green for a while. Let’s celebrate all things green!” on the Daily Post Blog. I first thought I really cant come up with a green Photo due to the cold Season here in the Northern Hemisphere. But then I watched to my Fish Tank and though “great!”. 🙂 But it´s just one Photo. A Photo of two Siamese Algae Eater searching for … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Green

Boraras brigittae searching for Food on the Ground of my little Fish Tank

Boraras brigittae or also called Mosquito Rasbora is a pretty cute and tiny Fish. Boraras brigittae´s are great for smaller Fish Tanks because they are so little. They wont grow bigger then 3 cm. That´s maybe why some People call them “Nano Fishes”. I like them so much. I think I have at the moment 18 Boraras brigittae in my smaller 60 Liters Fish Tank. Today I did throw some Food in the Tank which sunk to the Ground. I made a Video with my new Sony Xperia P Smartphone. I had the Idea to test the HD Camera.
