About An Old Friend And Some Bavaria Photos For The Blog

An old friend of mine visited me yesterday, we planned this for a while now since we didn’t meet each other for a long time, apart from the moments when we met each other in the city by chance in a busy moment. But over the last months we had a lot of contact via text messages and phoned on some weekends. He was one of my best friends a decade ago, but you know at some point life starts to keep people busy, can even separate people for a while, this was the only reason why we lost contact … Continue reading About An Old Friend And Some Bavaria Photos For The Blog

Off-Season

I actually thought I couldn’t take any photo for the recent photo challenge with the motto Off-Season. But we have still very mixed weather in Northern Germany, it’s actually not really summer weather except for some good days. Yesterday we had a good day, a friend came to visit and asked me if I would like to drive to the beach and I thought the idea would be great. The weather was perfect when we started, but as soon as we arrived, the weather changed from summer to autumn and it began to rain. In the photo above you see … Continue reading Off-Season

Lübeck Inner-City Marketplace Past And Present Comparison

I shot the image some weeks ago when I walked through the inner-city of Lübeck. I wrote about the marketplace in Lübeck a couple of times, for example about the christmas market last year or when I uploaded an image that shows a part of the architecture that surrounds the marketplace. As it is nearly … Continue reading Lübeck Inner-City Marketplace Past And Present Comparison

Trave River Photo

Here is one I shot one week ago while walking near the Trave River… Continue reading Trave River Photo

Excursion to the Domsee in Ratzeburg

We had a ride yesterday and visited some places in our federal state Schleswig-Holstein. On our tour we also drove to the village called Ratzeburg. This is a small town but surrounded by much nature including several lakes. On the photo above you can see a smaller lake that is called Domsee. You see a small cathedral in the background that is probably the reason why the lake is called “Domsee”, because “Dom” is German and means something like “Church” or “Cathedral” and the ending “see” means “sea” or “lake”. There was a small bistro where we bought some scoops … Continue reading Excursion to the Domsee in Ratzeburg
