Thuringia Landscape

I was browsing through my old photo folders and found the image above that was shot in Thuringia, probably with the phone or point-and-shoot camera. I did edit the image just a little bit because there have been some issues that I didn’t like. I gave the image a bit more structure and changed the sky color just a little bit. I hope you like the image. You can find a few other photos of Thuringia on my blog. Continue reading Thuringia Landscape

Along The River

Here is a photo that I shot in May 2015, oh how time flies. The photo was shot one month after I got my first DSLR. At that time I pressed the shutter button like a crazy person, because all that was so new to me and I wanted try this camera, to learn how it works. However, I didn’t like the photo at first, but I started to edit it, to see if I can change that. Before you could barely differentiate between the green colors in the photo, but I changed it so that you can actually differentiate … Continue reading Along The River

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ambience

The recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about ambience, and I thought one of the photos that I shot during a hike through the Schellbruch area in Lübeck would fit. It almost looks as if someone painted it, but I like that. Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Ambience

Historic District Street

Here is another photo from Lübeck. I shot the photo in one of the streets of the historic district. That part of the city is quite old, and I think you can see this with the architecture. I like the old appearance, but it sometimes hard to take photos of the streets in this district as you either will have people in the photo or parked cars. Also I do wonder if a wide-angle lens would work better for this type of photography, but well, there are still other things on the wish list and I won’t add something to … Continue reading Historic District Street

Small Alley

We have some very small alleys in the city centre of Lübeck. Most of them are remains of the medieval urban development. I find it difficult to take photos in narrow alleys, but that just because I am always not sure how to frame the scene in this case. With the photo in this post I didn’t want to show you the whole scene but a part of it. I wanted to frame the cozy corner of it, because many of the residents have seating areas in front of their homes. The alleys are very calm places, because most of … Continue reading Small Alley
