Lübeck Inner-City Marketplace Past And Present Comparison

I shot the image some weeks ago when I walked through the inner-city of Lübeck. I wrote about the marketplace in Lübeck a couple of times, for example about the christmas market last year or when I uploaded an image that shows a part of the architecture that surrounds the marketplace. In the last post where I showed a part of the architecture, I did also upload a public domain image from 1905, I will attach this to my new post here too because this time I show my new image from a very similar angle. Today We Had A Heavy And Destructive Thunderstorm in Northern Germany

We had real heavy storm in Northern Germany today. I thought the storm was heavy in our federal state Schleswig-Holstein but then I saw the news about the neighboring federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, there was total destruction in some towns. We had more luck in Schleswig-Holstein, but it was very unusual and scary anyway. They said in the news that it was a tropical thunderstorm. Somewhere In Lübeck

Some days ago I went for a walk with my mother. We roamed near the inner-city of Lübeck. We took some photos with our phones. Above you can see one of the photos, we shot in the direction of the historic city where you see some churches of Lübeck. But the historic district starts behind the white houses and there is also the Trave River. I assume it is not cheap to live in one of the white buildings, because the view on the other side is amazing. It’s most likely a nice place to have an apartment. St. Mary’s Church In Lübeck

Above you can see the St. Mary’s Church of Lübeck. I published other posts about this church in the past. In February I posted a picture where you can see St. Mary’s Church from the other side. In 2013 I published a post with pictures of the St. Mary’s Church as well. Some of you know that I am not really religious but I love architecture and our city has quite a lot of stunning churches in my opinion. Continue reading St. Mary’s Church In Lübeck
