I always wondered if it is possible to get an own email address for the domain purchased via WordPress.com as my blog is hosted there and as I bought my domain there too. The mailman did ring on the door few days ago. I got a mail from Vietnam and the postman looked on the mail and astonished said “Woow looks like it was three weeks underway!”.
