Mom´s Birthday And The Family Meet Up

Yesterday on June 12, the whole family celebrated the birthday of my mother. My mom invited us all and she made cake. We call this “Kaffee und Kuchen” in Germany and it means “Coffee and Cake” because that´s what it is about. Meet each other, drinking coffee and eating cake, while it doesn´t mean that you have to drink coffee. Meetings like this one are just called this way here. Mouse In The Grass

I love the image above. My mother shot the photo and it is the mouse of my half-brother. My mother has a big plant pot on the balcony full of grass. I think it´s the perfect place to shoot mice photos. She took the photo with her Samsung Galaxy S2 or S3 I think. I really like how the black and white mouse appears on the green grass background. It´s not often that someone in my family has luck. But I talk about contests and the reason is that we usually don´t participate in contests or lotteries. But there is this very serious company that we know and they sometimes run contests and the conditions of participation are not that horrible like in most of the contests. Lady Beetle Without Points

Some days ago I was visiting my mother and we sat on her balcony to enjoy the first sunbeams. While talking, we noticed that there were a lot of ladybugs or lady beetles on her balcony and we started to take photos with out smartphones. Yet Again Another German Dish
